Overview

Uzhir (also spelled Ujir/Wuzir) (Kor. 우지르) was a werewolf warrior who served Maduke.

Appearance[]

Uzhir was of Herculean build with dark brown skin and long brown hair secured in a high ponytail. He had a prominent scar on the left side of his forehead and wore golden wrist cuffs.

He wore a white hooded robe with white pants.

Personality[]

Uzhir was a calm and logical person, saying that things weren't supposed to be handled emotionally[1]. He was also quite blunt. He thought it was normal that the weak among their people were being used as fodder for improving physical enhancements, and displayed unwavering loyalty towards Maduke till the very end, priding himself on being a warrior. He did, however, wonder whether the decision to experiment on their people was wrong.[2]

Background[]

Uzhir was one of the many werewolves who had embraced modifications to become a warrior and supported Maduke. He only became a warrior during Maduke's reign.

Plot Overview[]

Uzhir was sent along with Gotaru and two other warriors to hunt down Kentas who escaped after destroying the labs. He and his crew members cornered Kentas shortly after he parted ways with M-21. When Kentas told them that dozens of werewolves were sacrificed in the labs, to his horror Uzhir casually remarked that he had expected a higher death toll. Kentas attacked them on learning that they had recently dispatched henchmen to gather more subjects. Uzhir confessed that he had wanted to fight Kentas for a long time because of his sanctimonious ideals about the pride of their clan and fought him. Kentas was at a disadvantage because his body was far from its normal state. However, Gayare interfered and sought Uzhir's permission to battle Kentas, at which Uzhir reluctantly conceded[3].
Uzhir was watching Gayare and Kentas fight. After Gayare made light work of Kentas, Uzhir wondered how it could end so quickly and thought that maybe Kentas' body wasn't in its normal state. Gotaru asked why he didn't just run away instead of destroying the lab if that's the case.
As Kentas and Gayare continued their fight, Gotaru, Uzhir and the other warriors watched. Uzhir was impressed by Kentas' resilience, whereas Gotaru dismissed Kentas since he was a complete wreck. However, Uzhir remarked that he'd like to see Kentas' power when he was in his normal state. Ignes arrived at the scene with a badly injured M-21 who attempted to get Kentas to continue on. Much to the shock of the werewolves and Ignes, Kentas got back on his feet[4].
Uzhir stopped Gayare from fighting with Ignes, reminding him that she was doing important work for their Lord. Uzhir also told Ignes to not interfere as the matter was between warriors of their race. Uzhir and Gotaru were watching the battle wear on between Kentas and Gayare. Uzhir remarked that Gayare was becoming increasingly flustered at the situation. When Gayare stabbed Kentas through the stomach, Uzhir believed the battle was over, ending in Gayare's favour. However, he and the other werewolves were shocked to see Kentas defeat Gayare[5].
Uzhir told him that he acknowledged his strength, but he shouldn't have fought with him when he was not in his optimal state. Uzhir mentioned that he fought him for old times' sake and that even if they hadn't fought, the ending was already predetermined. Kentas said he would fight for the people they had betrayed but before Uzhir could respond a voice asked them what was wrong, and whether it was hard for them to hear what Kentas was saying because they felt guilty. The warriors were left in shock as Muzaka and Raizel made their appearance[6].
Uzhir, however, wasn't surprised by Muzaka's arrival since they were expecting him, and wondered about Raizel's identity. Uzhir announced to Muzaka that they'd been waiting for him, wondered why Muzaka brought the nobles here, and stated that it was as expected of a traitor like Muzaka. Muzaka responded that he didn't bring the nobles, and that he came for his own reasons. Muzaka asked Kentas about M-21's location and instructed Raizel to go on ahead. Uzhir wondered if Raizel's overwhelming power meant he was the Noblesse as he left[7].
Uzhir wondered what Muzaka could possibly want to ask them. When he asked about their people being experimented on, Uzhir stated that if he truly wished for an answer then he'd tell him, and confirmed Muzaka's suspicions, adding that it was how they made their people stronger. Muzaka was angered but Uzhir retorted that it seemed any further conversations with him would be meaningless, and told him that he was no longer their Lord but a traitor who abandoned them long ago. The warriors and Muzaka engaged in a fight[8].
Uzhir said that he'd show him how different things were now. Yet, the two fighting with Uzhir were killed. Muzaka told Uzhir that aside from him, the other warriors were nothing more than trash, unworthy of their titles. He bitterly questioned Uzhir if this was all he got in return for sacrificing their own people[9].
Uzhir was unable to believe that he and his team could be defeated by Muzaka so one-sidedly. He thought they surpassed the previous warriors and was taken aback, wondering if their decision was wrong, when told that the warriors of the past were stronger. Uzhir yelled that he'd prove he and the other warriors weren't wrong, and used all his power to launch one final attack against Muzaka. Muzaka also launched a powerful attack and the two phantom wolves collided in mid-air with Muzaka's phantom wolf devouring Uzhir's. Uzhir was surprised to learn that he and the other warriors were wrong and died calling Maduke's name.[10]
