Overview

The Royal Guard were the 1st Elder's elite bodyguards. They first appeared in volume 8. The team consisted of 6 warriors who had been modified to the same level as the Union Elders  even though they served under the 1st Elder. The members of the Royal Guard were strong enough to take on and kill several werewolf warriors , though this may be because the warriors were in a weakened state. They all had superior regeneration, which seemed to be based off of the werewolves, as well as other basic modifications such as speed and strength. They all had blood stones that made them even stronger. The creator(s) of The Royal Guard is unknown.

The project to create the Royal Guard was voluntary and it appeared that all the subjects chose to be there of their own volition. Countless experiments took place and of the six successful guards, only Haydn spoke. The rest seemed to be stripped of all memories and personality. There were more in the process of being modified but they were taken by Crombel for his own use after he attacked the 1st Elder[1].

Members[]

Geo - The only female member of the group. Like all the others she had been modified.

Haydn - The only member who actually said anything. Haydn usually stood in for 1st Elder and was assumed to be him. Like all the others he had been modified.

Unnamed Guard 1 - When Mirai first encountered this guard, she mistook him to be a noble due to his red eyes. He had long black hair tied in a ponytail at the back with an undercut, a large moustache, and large scars on his chest. Two fangs also poked out upwards from his mouth. His attacks and powers resembled those of nobles. He was usually seen with Unnamed Guard 2. His vision showed data analysis which suggested that his eyes had either been modified or were completely technology. They also seemed to be connected to some sort of system or database which could be an external system or within him already. The amount of information it seemed to contain may be suspicious, due to having even skeletal structures, but none of this, including the modifications, was expanded upon. After using the blood stone to transform, he grew some unknown rock-like scales similar to how werewolves grow fur in warrior form along his back and arms.

Unnamed Guard 2 - When Mirai first encountered this guard, she sensed that he had similar powers to that of the werewolves; he resembled their warrior forms as well. He looked older and had wrinkles. He had pale blue skin, blue eyes, blue or white hair, and an extremely large moustache. His arms appeared to be composed of a techno-organic material. His fighting style was like that of the werewolves too. He had retractable claws which he could extend from his fingertips and had the ability to regenerate.

Unnamed Guard 3 - This unnamed guard was one of the two guards who initially faced off against Bashum. He was of a slender build and had dull blue skin, short light brown hair and wore golden earrings. He had short claws. After using the blood stone to transform, he grew some unknown rock-like scales similar to how werewolves grew fur in warrior form along his back and arms. He had enhanced strength, speed and flight, as well as regeneration.

Unnamed Guard 4 - This unnamed guard was one of the two guards who initially faced off against Bashum. He was of a considerable build and had dull blue skin with light brown hair shaved close to the head where he was not bald. After using the blood stone to transform, he grew some unknown rock-like scales similar to how werewolves grow fur in warrior form along his back and arms. He had enhanced strength, speed and flight, as well as regeneration.

The Guards - Incomplete Royal Guards used by Crombel.

Plot Overview[]

Haydn's figure was shown in the Union screens throughout the story but he first appeared with the 1st Elder when he met Dr. Crombel[2].
The werewolves had a breach in their security soon after and the entire Royal Guard were shown on the werewolves' territory with the 1st and 3rd Elders. They fought against the werewolves, killing Bashum, Gotaru, and Mirai, though the latter only after Lunark, Raizel and Frankenstein arrived. The last of the Royal Guards, Haydn, was killed by Frankenstein as he battled the 1st Elder[3].
